Svansjön is about 5 km long and offers great paddling at 1000 m above sea level. Svansjökläppen, Vättafjället, Rödfjället and all the other mountain peaks in the area rise around it and form a powerful backdrop. The water is clear and fresh - just like it should be in real mountain lakes.

The Tännån River winds its way down the valley and is perfect for unstable weather. If you're lucky, you might see the occasional beaver.
