Avalanche information

Avalanche danger & avalanche terrain

Tänndalen combats avalanche danger in avalanche terrain where you can slide from an open lift/run back to an open lift/run, as well as in Hamra Syd.

The control is primarily carried out with explosives. Despite this, it can never be said with complete certainty that these slopes are safe to ski on. We provide daily information about the measures we have implemented/plan to implement, as well as a brief textual assessment of the current situation.

All skiing outside of marked and prepared slopes is considered off-piste and is done at your own risk. Follow the signs, markings and avalanche information. Anyone traveling in unprepared terrain should have a good knowledge of assessing avalanche danger.

Avalanche danger

Always respect indicated avalanche danger and avalanche information and make sure you have the knowledge required to venture outside marked areas and to assess avalanche danger. In terrain with a slope of 25-30 degrees or more, the risk is always present, even if others have skied in the area.

Avalanche forecasts.se

In areas that are outside the areas reached by sliding from and back to an open lift/runway, no avalanche control is carried out and avalanche forecasts are carried out by the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency.
